I have just injured myself. I have been decorating and I have strained all sorts of muscles and I have irritated an old knee injury. I need to try to take care but I need to get on with the work. I have got hold of a knee wrap and wear that all of the time to give me some extra support. I am hoping that will give me the protection that I need while I am doing the rest of the work that I need to do. It seems to be helping a little bit, although I think that I will get a new colpac one as I think that they are better than the one that I am using. It is great to hear everyone excited about something as with the recession everyone has been complaining about their lack of pay rise or bonus and it is nice for that moaning to stop for a while. I have just received one of the most lovely gifts you can ever get. I am pretty hard to buy for and I normally tell people not to bother buying me anything. However, this Christmas I got the most amazing set of personalized blankets. My grand children all pooled together to buy me this really special gift. There is one to go on my bed and one to go on the spare bed but I am considering putting them over the back of the sofas because I would like to show them off to all of my visitors. I think that it was such a kind thought and am trying to think of some lovely gifts that I can give to them next Christmas as a way of showing my appreciation. I often used to do something in the corporate gifts line but he is retired now. I have considered various option but at his age you really have everything that you need. I was considering something in the personalised gifts market like a pen or something with his name on but he might think it was a bit naff. I think that I will just have to do what I have done for the last few years and take him out for a nice meal somewhere. There is a great Thai place in the town where he lives, that we often go to and he likes so it might be back there again!
